This long-term vision is about transforming the centre of Bankstown into a vibrant urban neighbourhood to work, live, stay, dine and shop with new commercial offices, a hotel, serviced apartments, student accommodation, residential apartments, childcare facilities and public open and green spaces.

In the future Bankstown will be serviced by two trains with the existing Bankstown train station and the future T3 metro station just 100 metres away and the relocated, onsite bus interchange providing access to the city and beyond. These first projects are expected to create up to 400 new direct and indirect jobs over the two-year build and once completed the long-term 2050 vision will support more than 8,400 additional local jobs in Bankstown.

As a key public transport, commercial, health and education hub, our plans leverages Bankstown’s strength as a key public transport hub with a major bus interchange onsite and the existing Bankstown train station, the future T3 metro station just 100 metres away.
Our vision also builds on Bankstown’s future growth as an education and health hub with Western Sydney University’s new vertical campus also just 100 metres away and construction for the new Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital starting in the 2022-23 financial year.

By relocating the bus interchange, we create an opportunity to utilise an underdeveloped parcel of land on the corner of Jacobs Street and Rickard Road for two new commercial office buildings, a new Eat Street with cafes and restaurants and new green, public open space.
Also, we are relocating the bus interchange to make it closer to the Bankstown train station, the future T3 metro station and within easy access of our fresh food precinct.
We will build the new bus interchange between The Mall and North Terrace before closing the existing bus interchange, so there will be a seamless transition.
Yes, both the commercial offices will share a basement car park for more than 320 cars. On the weekend these extra car parks will be available for our customers and our retailers.
