Bankstown Central has unveiled its redevelopment works: a new, vibrant and modern fresh food precinct, The Grand Market, and a refurbishment and redesign of the retail precinct!
The launch of both developments are the first step in Vicinity Centres’ vision to transform the heart of Bankstown’s town centre into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood where the community can work, stay, dine and shop.

Announcing new stores as part of retail precinct upgrade.
Uniqlo and Glue are now open on Level 2 in our brand new precinct!
Footlocker has relocated into a brand-new store within the upgraded retail precinct.
Services Australia have also opened, taking up a major tenancy.
Complementing the variety of new and existing retailer openings is the work currently underway in the centre to refurbish the mall areas and introduce new furniture, finishes and other interior design features.
THE GRAND MARKET IS NOW OPEN
Located on the ground level, The Grand Market boasts a contemporary look and feel and a reconfiguration of retail stores and kiosks to create an open and spacious environment to welcome the local community.
The Grand Market includes a brand-new Coles supermarket in addition to a selection of artisan specialty food retailers offering a variety of ingredients from around the world, providing customers with more convenience and choice under one roof.

NEW INTERIM BUS INTERCHANGE LOCATION
As part of the major redevelopment, an interim bus interchange is now operational within Bankstown Central.
The interim relocation has enabled the construction of a new car park, providing direct and easy access to The Grand Market via travelator.
From Sunday 15 May 2022, public transport customers have been able to access the new bus interchange at Bankstown Central from The Mall and Jacob Street, providing better integration with Bankstown’s current and future modes of transport, including Sydney Metro.
